Debian also worked for me on sony (The modem takes a bit of works but
all the rest was supported) although the customer support can't even
answer questions related to XP properly (in fact I haven't managed to
get a proper answer from them even to the question of where I can
complain about the fact that they aren't able to provide a single
proper answer or the fact that their repair shop doesn't seem to know
what they are doing).
