Hi Gruessle, I think you mean ftp CLIENT. it is not advisable to setup an ftp server on a linux machine in most cases. The main reason is the ftp is an unencryped protocol -- everyone can read your password and any data you send. ssh and sftp are used in its place. BUT if you want to connect to any ftp server, then something like proftp is a nice console client. And I'm sure othere can recommend some GUI ftp clients. -Kev
