I've started using firebird and found flakiness in the bookmarks
manager as well. It took several tries to get it to read my mozilla
file (also .html), including shutting it down to reset the manager to
"factory specs" and starting over. It's obviously one of the areas
needing some work.
I sorry that I have no other suggestion. :-(
