whenever a program crashes with a segmentation fault, the core file is not getting created on my system. i checked the "ulimit -c" and it says "unlimited". can anyone tell me what could cause the core files to not get generated ? i'm running knoppix 3.0 hard disk install, with 2.6.0-test9-mm4. let me know if you need any other details of my system. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
