When I boot a Woody system I just installed
gnome2.2 on, gdm shows up, but it does not respond to keyboard input. The
keyboard DOES work in the console. Although it apears to be locked, the
cursor at the login prompt blinks and I believe the screen turned black after a
while. On the same system, when I boot LTSP with either kdm or xdm (gdm
untested), the same problem occours. I do not know who makes the video
card; I haven't pulled it and checked. I selected ATI in xfree86
config. I do see graphics, as oposed to a big X cursor or an X
error. For refference, the computer (which has not recieved upgrades) came
with a K6-2 (not sure on the chip- I didn't track old AMDs) 450 mhz, 64 mb ram,
and a 10 gb hard drive.
Thanks in advance-
David
