No, it doesn't. It documents why you'd need an init script to remove it once another init script creates it, but it doesn't really explain why the bootmisc.sh needs to create it in the first place. Would there be anything wrong/dangerous in setting DELAYEDLOGIN=no[and then moving gdm as early as possible in the queue]?
