I forgot to follow through against myself earlier, since I zenned it
around 0300 local time.

In /etc/exim4/conf.d/acl/30_exim4-config_check_rcpt, you should see
something that says:

  accept  local_parts = postmaster : abuse
	  domains     = +local_domains

Just add more local_parts...
