Hi,
I have downloaded and installed CUPS, and then add a printer, but the
printer seems also do not work. My printer is epson photo 700 and some
information is the following:
Description: a printer
Location : /dev/par0
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs
Device URI: parallel:/dev/lp0
Can anyone suggest what the wrong is here.

James,
Use the web interface to config your printer. Use this command: 'lynx
http://localhost:631/admin'. You may need to be 'root' for this. See
'/var/share/doc/cupsys/README.Debian.gz'. Use this command:'zless
README.Debian.gz'. Again you may need to be 'root'.
attached is a copy of my '/etc/cups/printer.conf' file.
