The issue here is that you are using a development kernel with non-free
drivers. You'll need many a special hack to make it work (googling for
'nvidia 2.5 kernel' or so will show you what you need) and many kernel
developers will refuse to help you, since they can't actually pinpoint
the problem when they don't have the source for your drivers available.
