Probably by running the 'hostname' command, start with the man pages.
Unless your box has a static IP address and has a host name that is
published by your domain's dns server, then it probably doesn't matter
what you use.
Note that exim cares about your host & domain names, be prepared to edit
your exim.conf file if you change them.
