Ah.  Well, that's pretty easy.  The Fred Meyer[1] on SW Walker Road in
Beaverton sells RealTek 10/100 full duplex ethernet NICs with an RJ-45
header for $5.

only chain of them.  They sell everything from groceries to hardware,
sporting goods to linens, gardening supplies to gasoline, computer
hardware to contact lenses, clothing to fine jewelry.  And if there's
some product or service they don't provide, odds are one of the local
businesses they rent space to around the edge of their building
probably does it or sells it.  And if you can't find what you're
looking for and they can't order it for you at a Fred Meyer or the
shops in the same building as one, it's either not legal to sell or it
doesn't exist.  This item not available at Fifth and Alder[2].

[2] Portland natives are the only ones that will get this joke.
