subscribe <email address> <...>
in ~/.muttrc, where email address is the address of the mailing list.
Example:
subscribe debian-user@lists.debian.org debian-boot@lists.debian.org
This tells mutt that you're on debian-user and debian-boot. You can
use as many subscribe lines as you want, or as many addresses as you
want in a subscribe statement.
When running mutt, to reply to a list message, hit shift-l
