Thanks Roberto.  I think you are talking about
an option at LILO boot.

I was really looking for a way to save it permanently
to the hard disk since this is a knoppix hard disk install
version.  Also, I like to run a 1600x2000 virtual
desktop and pan around inside it at 1280x1024.
