Paul is rather acerbic at times (aren't we all ...). I wouldn't go that
far.

If you're reading the list and therefore don't need copies, you could
say 'subscribe debian-user@lists.debian.org' in .muttrc and avoid the
problem. Perhaps you have 'lists debian-user@lists.debian.org' there at
the moment.

I tend to believe that the MUA should know your full e-mail address, but
I can see your point of view as well.

What are your current rewriting rules? I think you need the 'h' flag.
Alternatively, you could put the right addresses into 'headers_rewrite =
dfokkema@local.machine your@real.address' and use that as a transport
option, I think (although I haven't tried this).
