usbdevfs boot error

Hello everybody :-)

I wanted kdm not to be loaded, I prefer text login, so I used:
update-rc.d -f kdm remove
and kdm init links for all runlevels were removed.
Now text login works, but at the very end of the boot process I get:
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x85 len 512 ret -110

I have to say I use ADSL, and set up modem_run to be run at startup. I then run 'ppp0 call adsl' when needed.
I also get (b4 those errors) an error for starting 'hoplug subsystem'.

Could anyone help me with this?
