xmove troubbles

Hi, i'm having troubble getting xmove to work on my debian (woody) box...
i run xmove or xmove -server 127.0.0.1:0, then i try to run something 
like xlogo -display 127.0.0.1:1 and i get the following message:

Unable to create connection to server at 127.0.0.1:1.
Is the server dead?
Is the server name correct?
X connection to 127.0.0.1:1.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

I've tried disabling access controlls on the :0.0 server (xhost +)  and 
i still have problems...

same situation with xmovectrl (here's the output) :

xmovectrl 127.0.0.1:1 -list
Unable to create connection to server at 127.0.0.1:0.
Is the server dead?
Is the server name correct?
Not authorized to connect with xmove

I've run out of ideas......anyone have expierence with xmove?
