what size ups is it, and what is your system?
I've found we have to replace our 280VA units with 420's, as a P4 2.4 will
pull about 60% load at idle, and goes up to about 80% under load. Add a
moniytor, and you hit the overload. Had one sysetm that was so close to
overload, it would only beep when the Zip drive was accessed.
I'm still trying to figure out how my P4 2.4 and 20" monitor doesn't trip
out my 300va APC UPS. Sure, I only get 90 seconds of backup time, but it
shouldn't work, it's far over the rated 300va!
