I didn't even think about it when I bought my DVD-ROM drive until
after I was halfway done with watching 2001 on it when my roommate
said, "Wait, it didn't give you a hard time?"
(I gotta wonder what all this BS is about Linux being a pain when it
comes to hardware...never mind Linux can at least generically support
nearly all hardware in existience, and the discover package is pretty
good at detecting hardware and slapping in the right modules. Makes
me wonder if they've been living in a cave for the last three years or
something.)
