(or maybe libmd5-perl, dunno how old the CPAN.pm code is)

Looks like you typed 'y' when CPAN asked for configuration of thecache directory.


Reconfigure or just edit the file shown by
perl -MCPAN::Config -e 'print $INC{CPAN/Config.pm},"\n"'
