I actually got this far, but I think something else is wrong. Anytime I
try to install anything with CPAN, I get:

cpan> install File::ReadBackwards
Running install for module File::ReadBackwards
Running make for U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz

  CPAN: MD5 security checks disabled because MD5 not installed.
  Please consider installing the MD5 module.

gzip: y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz: No such file or directory
gzip: y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Using Tar:/bin/tar xvf y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz:
/bin/tar: y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Couldn't untar y/sources/authors/id/U/UR/URI/File-ReadBackwards-0.99.tar.gz

This happens for any/every package I try to grab...
