I have Emacs 21.2.2 installed, and C-x 8 ` e works just fine, ditto for
other accent marks, as you can see:
è é ë ê
What does NOT work at all is Xemacs. Maybe that's no big loss, but I'm
curious, is there any way to type accented characters in Xemacs?
