don't use onboard raid ( on the motherboards ) .. you'd have more troubles
than its worth
yes it should recognized the promise chipset on the motherboard, but the
"firmware based raid" functions are less that useful ( piece of !@#$%^ )
you'd be 100x happier with a simple software raid1 with 2 disks or 5 disk
raid5
