I've used qpopper on one system for about 4 years now ..though I
compile it from source and use a custom configuration..haven't tried
the debian version
besides that your main other option is probably courier's pop services.
qpopper is probably the most featureful pop3 server that I know of
(assuming you ONLY need pop3 and don't care about imap)
