kde > 3.1 has something like the XP desktop sharing feature. The
settings are done from the kde control center. it is VNC compatible.Otherwise, read the march 2003 linux for you article on xdm graphical
logins and the xdmcp (i think) protocol.Basically, it says that though kdm/xmd support remote graphical
logins, it is disabled by default. i have forgotten which file to edit
to enable it.
