i've been trying to get the 3.0 woody installed on
my compaq pII 350 svirge card for a week.
knoppix will install and work if i use xmodule=vesa
at bootup.
installing woody doesn't work with svirge, vesa or
anything else. i've tried all possible combos of kernals, vid card,
monitor configs.
using svirge on woody will get a screen but it is
degraded and unusable, just as it was with knoppix before using
xmodule=vesa. using vesa ends with a number 11 error and xserver
ends.
please help if you can, i can't copy or print
xfconfig-4 or any other file from woody as i can't get a usable
screen.
