first, please don't reply to a message and change the topic. if you
must do so, at least delete the In-Reply-To line from the message you

second: do you want to download or install?

  apt-get install mtr-tiny

will download and install mtr-tiny. if you only want to download, then
please read the manpage. there is, in fact, an option with a very
intuitive name to download-only.
