Piping sound through arts in KDE

Hi all,


Someone once mentioned they managed to pipie sound from Quake 3 Arena
through arts in KDE.

I'm working on getting Alsa working, but in the meantime I thought I might
just try this arts piping thing once.

I know sound is sluggish then but I just want to satisfy my curiosity... :
-)

So, how does one pipe sound to arts (keeping in my I have no sound when I
start q3a at the moment in kde).

fuser /dev/dsp and then killing the process does not help. q3a still
reports as /dev/dsp device or resource busy.


Alsa sort of works (I'm very close...)...
