Hi,

How do I install an ide aptapi tape drive under debian?

The tape drive is a seagate STT8000 (4/8gb)

I have physically installed it. It works for the other os'es I have installed on this pc but I want to use it with debian.

You need to install the ide-scsi module and a few other
scsi things:

ATAPI is scsi commands over an ATA(IDE) interface.
