Hi,
I know that for "old world" macs <the 9500 is one such machine> you can
use bootX <an extension installed in the system folder of your macos
partition <which can be on another disk, this is what I have>. For "old
world" macs there is a problem with the firmware which prevents from
wiping out the MacOS completely and using only Linux, one therefore needs
to use BootX. You can then select, in BootX, the default system <so that
after initially starting a boot in MacOS you can automatically default to
Linux or select, via a button MacOS>.
