No, not around here. Headless is common jargon for a box with no human I/O
facilities (monitor, keyboard, and mouse). Sometimes people just mean the
monitor (as in "Where are you going to put the second head on that tiny
desk?") but usually not.

I've never heard anyone call it the face. Perhaps it is a regional thing.
