okay, that makes intuitive sense so i deleted a few megs, but now:
orange:~# umount /mnt/mikan
umount: /mnt/mikan: not mounted
orange:~# umount /mikan
umount: /mikan: not found
orange:~# df
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda5 95139 95127 0 100% /
/dev/hda1 29249 2094 25645 8% /boot
/dev/hda6 6250540 1849556 4083468 32% /usr
/dev/hda7 31915768 29030644 1263884 96% /home
/dev/hda8 475860 415201 36091 93% /var
/dev/hda9 475860 37 451255 1% /tmp
so it tells me it's not mounted ... but if i cd to /mnt/mikan, the
contents are still there!
orange:/mnt/mikan# ls
lost+found nori
still confused ...
