I have read that it's possible to install off the serial port, by passing
the standard serial port options to the kernel(there are serial port HOWTOs
which describe this). But you need a way to get that info to the kernel which
means having a head on the system if only for a few minutes. Otherwise you
may be able to make a custom bootdisk(not sure how) which uses the serial
console by default.

or if you meant can you install it, and run it headless, that of course is
easy, and is a common configuration of linux/unix no special howto required,
just unplug the mouse/keyboard/monitor.

never tried installing a system w/o a video card at all though if that's
what your attempting.
