Sorry for the confusion which might have been caused
by that message.
I did download the kernel-headers and made the
symbolic link. However, when compiling I got this
error:
ld -r -o NVdriver Module-linux Module-nvkernel
size NVdriver
text data bss dec hex filename

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/lib/modules/2.2.20/video/NVdriver
make: *** [package-install] Error 1
I checked the file /lib/modules/2.2.20/video/NVdriver
exists - so I really don't know what the error means
