My version says "pump (Linux 2.2.x and newer)". The relevant changelog
entry is:

ifupdown (0.6.4-4.1) unstable; urgency=low

  [...]
  * man page update [pump works for kernels (> 2.2.x)]
    (Closes: Bug#114429)
  [...]
