be sure the file is executable

chmod +x staroffice.bin

./staroffice.bin

if you have multiple users you may want to run a multi user install,
install as root, and use the -net option (staroffice 5.2 it was /net).
then run setup again as your normal account(s) to do local installs.

if it doesn't work, post what shows when you try, perhaps the file
is curropt and you need to get it again. staroffice 6 is not downloadable
as far as I know .......but openoffice.org is ..
