Matlab R12 suddenly stops running

Hi everyone,

	I ran Matlab R12 under unstable debian.  After several apt
update, I cannot run Matlab with java support.  The following is the
error msg with I run matlab

Warning: Unable to load Java Runtime Environment:/usr/local/matlabr12/sys/java/jre/glnx86/jre/lib/i386/native_threads/libjava.so:symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.
Warning: Disabling Java support.

(sorry for not wraping the line.)  Anyone know what that error msg
mean? I have libc6 verison 2.3.1
