Hi Michael

There is more than one possible solution. I (of course) can only
recommend you the one I use... it works fine for me

I'm using cupsys with gimp-print. Especially for epson printers this
is a very good solution.

All you need to do is install gimp-print, it depends on cupsys. Then
open your favorite browser and go to
"http://localhost:631/printers";. Select "Add Printer" and follow the
steps, they are (hopefully) intuitive. (Name should be a short name to
identify the printer, Location/Description have merely descriptive
purposes). You need to be in the group lpadmin (adduser foo lpadmin)
to do this. There you go... I have done this quite a while ago, so
don't blame me if I forgot to mention a step, instead drop me a line,
I will try to recall what I did.
