Figures, really, considering that many of our vendors are small outfits
who can't afford much in the way of advertising.

Personally, I have ADSL, although I have followed unstable over a 56Kbps
modem before now. When doing initial installations I tend to install
from a set of CDs I bought a while back from Linux Emporium in the UK
and then upgrade to what's current. That doesn't actually save me much
if any bandwidth, though, it's just easier than messing around with
floppy disks. :)
There are plenty of local CD vendors around, though: see
http://www.debian.org/CD/vendors/ for the full list of those we know
about, which lists three in Sweden.

That's not a good comparison, as when you're installing from the net you
download the base system and then download what you need. This would
still be a fair amount of time for you, but nowhere close to downloading
two CDs.

I'm not sure if the Swedish vendors are selling woody CDs yet; you'd
have to ask them that yourself. They should certainly start doing so
when woody is released.
