I got this problem fixed shortly after I posted.  However, both
libxml1 and libxml2 appeared to be installed correctly.

I ended up purging scrollkeeper and libscrollkeeper0, along with
a couple of depends packages, and reinstalling them.  This fixed
the problem, as it usually does for me.
