you need to fix/upgrade lpd or whichever printer daemon you
are using
/etc/init.d/lpd start
( for example might be all that might be needed ?? )
what is the results of ...
/etc/init.d/lpd status
what is in /etc/hosts.allow, /etc/hosts.deny, your firewall configs
