Euro sign conversion (was: Re: pcmcia)

Wow - "1 EUR" was 1 <currency sign for Euro> when I posted the message, 
so I would not have had to write EURO myself.

Anyone know where the conversion from <currency sign for Euro> to EUR 
happened? In Mozilla 0.9.8 outgoing (warned me about non-readability), 
on the Debian listserver, or in Mozilla 0.9.8 incoming?
