I plan to use cfdsk to wipe windows out and install a basic Debian-
slrn,mutt,w3m,ncftp, and use vi(m). Necessary utilities, bash...... No X
at first.
Set BIOS to Basic VGA, no sound,noWinmodem (have external,
controller-based one) Boot order--------- CD,Floppy,HD. APM off. Have
CDs.
Boot/root on first part of disk, swap and var and home
Have manuals for all of the above programs, and MAN book and am now
studying "Rute Users..."
My USB keyboard may be a problem, depending on my Kernel (2.2r5),
but it is connected directly to MB and should at least be usable,
according to what I've read on "Linux-USB" site.
Will turn off PnP in LILO config.
The site you refer to below was recommended to me by KBK over at
<linux.debian.users> but I'm just getting it, and will be heading off to
there muy pronto...
