Mmmh, sitting on my brain... :)

Okay, it generates a heap of output, looks like it's not using protocol 1 at all - which is what I need because of other, older machines around here.

Here's the output of a login try from "gate.AAA.AA" to "gate.BBB.BB" (cleared of hostnames and IP addresses):
