Boot from HD

I have two hard drives : hda e hdb. The hda has windows and i have used FIPS to get 1 cylinder (+- 8MB) [/dev/hda3] to install LILO there. In hdb i have Debian 3.0 with kernel 2.4

In the boot processof linux i get the following error :

Quote:
fsck.ext2: Attemp to read block from filesystem resulted in short read while trying to open /dev/hda3. Could this be a zero-lengh partition?

I press CTRL-D and i can do the login.

When i try to do mount -t ext2 /dev/ hda3 /boot i get the follwing message:
Quote:
attempt to access beyond end of device 03:03: rw=0, want=2, limit=1 EXT2-fs: unavle to read superblock

My problem is i cannot access LILO.

Another thing is when i press SHIFT to choose the OS i get the following :

MBR 12FA: [then if i press 1 i get windows if i press 2 i get the LILO menu with the two options : 1 - linux 2- windows. The options work so is very odd why i cannot access that partition from the HD]
Also odd is that i have pu a label="Linux" and another for windows but they don't work only the numbers 1 and 2.

thanks for any help
