Viewports were pretty much removed from both sawfish 1.1 and GNOME 2. Adding these lines to your .sawfishrc will bring back viewports to some extent, but edge-flipping is gone forever, by the sounds of things. GNOME 2 has been designed to much simpler and less configurable than GNOME 1.4 was, to make it easier to use. Some people like this, but I sure don't...I've switched to sawfish+gkrellm+fspanel for now, with the GTK1.2 version of sawfish on hold. OT, have you ever used fspanel with sawfish? I can't figure out how to get sawfish to match on the fspanel window and enable sticky, viewport-sticky and avoid mode on it. -rob
