No. You could encrypt sensitive information (which is only as secure
as your private key, which I guess is what you have on that partition,
huh? ;-) or lock the computer away from people. There really is no
other solution that does not depend on obscurity. 

If there is a BIOS lock you might be able to wipe out WinXX, prevent
booting from anything but hard disk, and keep the BIOS keyword a
secret. But perhaps taking out the RTC battery might reset the
password? 

Security is hard.....
