Umm. I think so. Mine did that too anyway. Not sure how it actually
works.
I expect you're having troubles because of the client - maybe not. But
have you tried connecting to the server by just telnetting in?
-telnet to whatever port icecast is running on, and then type
ADMIN password<enter>
<enter>
(the two enters are mandatory)
If that works, then you know the password setup and encryption is fine,
and there's a problem with your source.
