BTW, this won't necessarily work with some terminals. On my Debian
machine, with the current configuration (in case it is configurable):
xterm: ACS enabled by default
rxvt: ACS disabled by default
gnome-terminal: ACS not supported
konsole: ACS disabled by default
linux (console): ACS not supported
Nettle under RISC OS: ACS disabled by default
