(or try to find your card in the ALSA soundcard matrix

if there is one).

They have pretty good instructions there.  It looks like the ALSA guys
have improved their documentation (or I missed it the last time I
checked, which is entirely possible).

You *do* nee soundcore, but I think the rest can be dropped.
