  If you use Emacs, please try mh-e. Peter Galbraith has packaged a
  recent copy of mh-e for Debian (version 6.1) which handles MIME pretty
  well. We're about to release 6.2 which also adds speedbar support and
  better MIME handling. See mh-e.sourceforge.net.

  I also use gnus to read my MH folders associated with mailing lists.
  However, now that mh-e handles threading, I may wean myself off of
  gnus.
